Attending DAAD's annual "Netzwerk-Konferenz" on 1-2 July 2008, organised for the staff of German higher education institutions and DAAD representatives based all over the world, provided a unique opportunity for project participants to gain an overall idea of the management of a national agency's network and the facilitation of information exchange, and also to learn about the issues and challenges that members face daily in their work. The organisers also had the chance to hear opinions on the event from ECE project partners who participated at both plenary sessions and peer-to-peer meetings.
